This season, the Cincinnati Bengals have experienced a lot.
When Joe Burrow injured his calf during training camp, it appeared as though their season was over; in fact, many pleaded with him to cease playing despite the injury, even if it meant missing the postseason.
And just as he was fully recovered and performing at his peak level, he sustained a wrist injury that ended his season.
Jordan Palmer, a former NFL quarterback, thinks the Bengals’ season is still ongoing.

The former gunslinger claimed that Jake Browning was a much better quarterback than most people knew when he appeared on The Rich Eisen Show.
He praised him for his play filling in for Burrow both on the road and against a division rival and gave him credit for remaining composed in the face of the superior Baltimore Ravens defense.
He also mentioned how excellent Browning was in college, praising his pocket awareness and his back shoulder touch.
However, at this point, it appears that the Bengals will not be able to make the playoffs.
With Burrow off the field, they are no better than any of the three teams above them in the AFC North division, where they are presently seated at the bottom.
