On Thursday game night, the Cincinnati Bengals lost a marquee matchup to the Baltimore Ravens, 34-20, but the loss was not the biggest talk after the game.

In the post game, the LB Logan Wilson received backlashes after his hip-drop tackle on Mark Andrews that led to a season-ending injury for the Raven’s star tight end.

Andrews sustained the season-ending injury when Wilson used a hip-drop tackle on him in the first quarter.

Bengals HC Zac Taylor didn’t step back to show the Bengals support of Wilson, he made a point to defend linebacker Wilson from the accusation of playing dirty.

According to NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano, Taylor ended his conversation with the media with a statement about Wilson plays.

Taylor addresses the media about the reckless narrative about Wilson, he said,

“I do have one more thing I want to say, because one thing that’s frustrating was the narrative that’s been brought up about Logan Wilson. Logan is everything we want to be about, in the way he plays the game. He plays with a toughness and a physicality that is important to that position. It’s kind of brought to my attention the narrative that’s out there right now, which I think is completely reckless.”

In the 10 games total of this season, Wilson has registered 79 tackles (52 solo) plus six passes defended, three interceptions, four tackles for loss, and three quarterback hits.

In the Thursday game, star QB Joe Burrow also sustained a torn ligament in his right wrist, and as a result, he will need surgery, which means he will be out for the rest of the season.
