Detroit Lions Week 11 Injury Report: First Report Including Seven Players
When the Detroit Lions host the Chicago Bears, who are in last place in the NFL, on Sunday afternoon at Ford Field, they hope to improve their record to 8-2 overall. The Lions released their first injury report for Week 11 a short while ago, and as you will soon see, they have a few problems.
Detroit Lions’ initial injury report for Week 11
The complete injury report for Wednesday, November 15 is available here. As you can see, Jonah Jackson (ankle/wrist) and Isaiah Buggs (illness) did not practice on Wednesday. Levi Onwuzurike (hip), Ifeatu Melifonwu (hand), and Kalif Raymond (ankle) were all limited.
This past weekend, the Los Angeles Chargers suffered a defeat to the Detroit Lions, an upstart team, by a score of 41-38. In front of their home crowd, it was a depressing game that served as a somber reminder of the difficult year they have already experienced.
The Lions’ coaching staff deserves credit for coming up with multiple strategies to confuse the Chargers defense. However, safety Derwin James Jr. was struck by how the Lions approached the Chargers.
He was explaining that Detroit thought the Chargers defense had no chance of stopping them, not criticizing the Lions for their decision to go for it. This Chargers team had a frustrating day overall, with the defense being the main source of frustration.
The Bolts defense gave up 533 yards to the Lions, and the team’s performance was embarrassing. After a few strong defensive outings, LA entered the game prepared, but Detroit took advantage of their vulnerabilities right from the kickoff.
It was the kind of game where there was nothing worthwhile to learn, so all game videos should just be thrown away. However, the Chargers are aware that their season will be wasted if they don’t improve moving forward.
Their next game is against the Packers in Green Bay, where they will attempt to return to a.500 record. Playing catch-up has been the theme of this year, and Sunday provided more proof of that.
