The Minnesota Wild’s North Stars-inspired colours make hockey fans happy; the Timberwolves’ 1989 throwbacks, which the team has worn several times this season, have made Timberwolves fans fall in love; and the Vikings have long pleaded with the team to don vintage uniforms

The Vikings will host the Chicago Bears on Monday, Nov. 27, and Vikings fans will be happy to learn that they will be wearing throwback uniforms inspired by the Purple People Eaters of the 1960s and 1970s. After wearing them against the Bucs in the season opener, Minnesota has stored them away.
Meanwhile, there’s growing rumours that the Vikings will play a “white-out” game on Christmas Eve once more when the Detroit Lions visit town.
If it occurs, it would be a rerun of the team’s “Winter Whiteout” game against the New York Giants on December 24 of last season. Team officials have not yet disclosed their plans. The Vikings encouraged supporters to wear white while sporting all-white uniforms and painting the end zones and logo at midfield white.
