The New York Jets lost as a slight road favorite in Week 10. Next, they’ll try to win as a visiting underdog against an AFC East rival. The point spread between the Jets (4-5) and the Buffalo Bills (5-5) is hovering around one touchdown. SI Sportsbook’s opening line tabbed the Bills as a 7.5-point favorite for the Week 11 divisional matchup on November 19.
Both teams have just lost games that they were expected to win. The Jets lost 16–12 on the road against the 1.5-point home underdog Las Vegas Raiders without scoring a touchdown. The Denver Broncos, who came to Buffalo as a 7.5-point dog, defeated the Bills 24–22. This season, the Jets have won three straight games as the underdog, the most recent being a 22-16 victory over the Bills at MetLife Stadium to start the season. On October 8, Gang Green’s only road win came in Denver as a 2.5-point underdog against the Broncos.

Notable transactions were made on Tuesday by the Jets and the Bills. In a panic, the former fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey. Michael Carter, a third-year running back, was released by Gang Green in the meantime. The Bills are third in the NFL in terms of average yards per snap (6.0), despite having given up on their offensive play caller. When they got into the red zone, they also had the third-best touchdown percentage (70.27) in the league.

In terms of yards per play allowed, the Jets’ defence is ranked third among NFL leaders overall (4.62). In Week 1, they forced Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Bills, into four giveaways. In terms of total touchdowns (26), and
interceptions (11) made, Allen leads the league. In the meantime, the Jets have failed to score a touchdown in the previous 11 quarters. In terms of red zone touchdown percentage and third down success rate, they are the lowest in the NFL.
