TWO names of players with Warrington Wolves squad numbers for the 2024 season may be a little unfamiliar to some Wire fans.

For the first time in the upcoming season, Nolan Tupaea and Zac Bardsley-Rowe will wear senior squad numbers.

Although Bardsley-Rower was recovering from an injury, he did not play in any of the games during their recent Warrington Wolves Academy tour of Australia.

The two enrolled in the Academy for the first time in 2022 after moving through the club’s scholarship programme.

Bardsley-Rowe is a centre who plays for the junior team of Salford City Roosters.

In addition to being an excellent ball carrier and defender, he is a large, strong, and powerful athlete.

His progress over the past two years has been praised as “fantastic” by the club, and he has played academy football for Lancashire.

Back-rower Tupaea, who made his debut at Saddleworth Rangers in Oldham, is another strong, large player with good skills and the ability to pass both before and after the line.

Tupaea was part of the team that made it to the Academy Grand Final last month and was a member of the England Academy squad in 2023.
