TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Will Reichard has been one of the most consistent players in Alabama football history.

The fifth-year kicker has not only cemented his name all throughout the Crimson Tide record books, but also in the SEC and national landscape as well. Reichard is already the SEC’s all-time leading scorer and could grab the NCAA record by the end of the season.

This weekend against Chattanooga will be the final home game for Alabama, which also means it’s Senior Day and the final game in Bryant-Denny Stadium for Reichard’s storied career. When speaking to the media Tuesday, Reichard said he’s been reflecting on his final home game coming up.

This weekend against Chattanooga will be the final home game for Alabama, which also means it’s Senior Day and the final game in Bryant-Denny Stadium for Reichard’s storied career. When speaking to the media Tuesday, Reichard said he’s been reflecting on his final home game coming up.

“I pride myself on not missing two kicks in a row, and it ended up happening,” Reichard said. “Didn’t flush it too well after the first one. But I’ve moved on from that. I’m gonna continue to try to get better. Obviously I want to make every kick that I can and every kick that I have an opportunity to do so, but it’s just not realistic to be able to make every single kick that you have even though that’s what you want to try to be able to achieve.

“Some technical aspects that just didn’t go right on that kick. I ended up pushing the ball right both times. I left my hips open. And so I’ve got to watch the film and continue to move on and continue to get better.”

Every home game this season when the starting lineup is announced on the video boards at Bryant-Denny Stadium, Reichard has gotten one of the loudest cheers of any Alabama player. As one of the 13 scholarship players being recognized for Senior Day, Reichard will no doubt once again get some of the loudest cheers.
