Following their performances for Rangers against Livingston on Sunday, November 12, Jonathan Sutherland has named Tom Lawrence and Leon Balogun to his Team of the Week.

The 35-year-old defender has had a “renaissance” at the team lately, and on Monday, November 13, the Sportscene host of BBC Sport said that Nigerian international Balogun gave the Gers another “highly assured performance” in their 2-0 victory.

The 29-year-old Lawrence was also a part of his best team from the action over the weekend, as the attacking midfielder “showed his class” by overcoming his injury problems.

In addition, the 29-year-old Lawrence played for his best squad during the weekend’s action, as the attacking midfielder “showed his class” by overcoming his injury issues.

The midfielder will now be looking to continue building up his fitness as he aims to play an important part in the Light Blues’ push for trophies this season.

In the middle of defence, Balogun was just as good; he won most of his duels and hardly gave the home team’s forward a sniff.

The centre back, who was merely a bench warmer under Michael Beale, has become a vital member of the team under Philippe Clement, and he will want to maintain this level of play going forward.

In related Rangers news, Chris Sutton lost his cool over a contentious incident that occurred during the Gers’ game against Livingston.
