Two of the Los Angeles Chargers’ most important pass catchers are listed as day-to-day after their team lost their fifth game of the season on Sunday to the Detroit Lions.

Gerald Everett, a tight end, and Keenan Allen, a wide receiver in the Pro Bowl who just had an incredible game against Detroit, are those two Chargers, according to NFL Network’s Bridget Condon:

Allen’s shoulder injury is listed as day-to-day, according to head coach Brandon Staley. During the second half of their Sunday loss, Allen left the game briefly. Before playing again, he went to the locker room to have his shoulder checked. Despite this, Allen was able to completely dominate the Lions secondary, racking up 175 yards on 11 receptions and two touchdowns. The Bolts are having a typical week, so maybe this Sunday at Lambeau Field we can see him.

With a back injury, Everett is also regarded as day-to-day, according to Staley. Early in the second half of Sunday’s game, the 29-year-old tight end left and was unable to come back. On two targets, he had zero catches for zero yards by the end of the week. This season, Everett hasn’t contributed much to the offense; hopefully, this injury won’t keep him out for too long.

The absence of Allen this coming week would be bad for the Chargers’ wide receiver corps, which is already severely thin. After ten weeks of injuries, LA cannot afford to sustain any more, and with a 4-5 record, they also cannot afford any more errors.
