Coach Brian Kelly announced on Thursday night that LSU running back Logan Diggs has been “downgraded to doubtful” for Saturday night’s game at Tiger Stadium against Florida.

Kelly provided Diggs with an update during his weekly radio show. After wearing a non-contact jersey during Thursday’s practice, Kelly stated in his news conference a few hours earlier that Diggs was questionable due to an upper body injury.

After quarterback Jayden Daniels, Diggs is the second-leading rusher for the Tigers with 635 yards gained at an average of 5.6 yards per carry and a team-high 79.4 yards per game.

Josh Williams and John Emery would probably be asked to step up to take on the Gators if Diggs is unable to play.

Diggs and Daniels were the only players listed on the injury report, according to Kelly. Daniels was in the concussion protocol this week and is now listed as probable after practicing for a second straight day.

Kelly had earlier in the week declared cornerback Zy Alexander (lower body) out of the game, meaning he will miss his second straight contest.

This weekend marks the beginning or continuation of the high school football playoffs across the nation, and the national recruiting and scouting teams of 247Sports will be closely monitoring the action. We have dedicated extra time over the last few weeks to studying and screening the junior class in preparation for the upcoming update to the 2025 Top247 rankings, which is due this month. In today’s rundown, readers will find scouting notes on over six Top247 prospects, including five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood and a few elite offensive linemen.

Apart from the scouting information, we have fresh rankings—all debut grades in this instance—for eight prospects in the 2024 and 2025 cycles. In addition to a quarterback headed to Western Kentucky and a recent Duke defensive line commit, this group also includes a few international prospects as a result of Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins’ recent trip to Germany. Here are this week’s rankings notes, beginning with national scouting analyst Cooper Petagna’s observations on the previously mentioned Underwood.
