Recently, there have been rumours in the media regarding Bill Belichick’s future with the New England Patriots. However, on Sunday, following the team’s seventh loss of the year, the veteran coach was questioned directly about

the matter in a press conference.This past weekend, the Patriots’ 20-17 loss to the Washington Commanders solidified their position at the bottom of the AFC East.

Just as yesterday, we had our opportunities. Regarding the Patriots’ difficulties thus far in the season, head coach Bill Belichick stated, “We just need to make more plays at the crucial moments of the game.”

“Well, that was back then. Moving forward, we’re getting ready for the Colts in Indianapolis.”

The Patriots are off to their worst start under Belichick since his rookie campaign in 2000, with a 2-7 record. Of course, rumours about his job security have started to spread.

“Yeah, I’m concentrating on preparing for the Colts,” Belichick responded on Monday when asked if ownership had given him any assurances regarding his position for the balance of the season.

Belichick stayed evasive when asked if he feels like he is “coaching for your job” ahead of their upcoming game.

“I’m going to control what I can control and get ready for the Colts.”
