ALTA CUSCALOOSA, AL Introducing “Just a Minute,” a daily video series from BamaCentral that features beat writers Austin Hannon and Katie Windham from Alabama. The two will collaborate twice a week to offer their opinions on issues pertaining to the Crimson Tide or college athletics in general.
Austin Hannon: In December 2022, Austin Hannon became a member of the BamaCentral staff. He has a wealth of journalism experience and is a sports media graduate from The University of Alabama. Hannon served as the University’s sports editor for The Crimson White, the student newspaper. Baseball, football, and men’s basketball are Hannon’s main sports.
Katie Windham: Katie Windham covers a variety of sports for BamaCentral, including softball, basketball, gymnastics, football, and more. She is also an assistant editor and senior writer. After graduating from The University of Alabama twice, she worked as a sports writer covering Alabama for publications including The Tuscaloosa News, The Crimson White, and the Associated Press until 2021, when she took a full-time position at BamaCentral. March Madness, SEC tournaments, Women’s College World Series, College Football Playoffs, and multiple sports championships have all been covered by Windham.
