On November 11, the Blues visit Selhurst Park to play Roy Hodgson’s team, and Sean Dyche might decide to make a few changes.
Dyche is concerned about Ashley Young’s goal and his overall inability to handle quick wingers and skilled dribblers.
Alan Shearer even called him “Stupid” on the podcast The Rest is Football, so maybe a few games out of the spotlight won’t hurt him.
Although he may not be ready to start a Premier League game just yet, Seamus Coleman made an appearance for the under-21s on Tuesday.
It is anticipated that Amadou Onana will replace Idrissa Gueye in the starting lineup, with a 50% chance of being fit.
Since James Garner has been playing well lately, it would be illogical to bench him; instead, Gueye should be the one to do so.
With that exception, the rest of the squad is essentially self-selected, and Dyche will be happy to have a core group of players who start each and every game they are healthy for.
In other Everton news, with a player out for the next two games, the emphasis will now be on strength and conditioning.
