CBS Boston, October 30, 2023, 2:45 PM EDTFOXBORO **** The Patriots’ terrible season record now stands at 2-6 after their loss in Miami on Sunday. For the New England Patriots of 2023, it’s pretty much over, forget about a playoff or even respectability route.
In New England, we haven’t experienced a season like this in a very, very long time. But the Patriots are done before Halloween unless they go the rest of the way unblemished.
If you can truly call it a “benefit,” the only thing the Pats will get from that is the opportunity to make some roster moves.

Dugger is in the last year of his contract, just like Uche. However, the safety has been a vital member of the New England secondary this year. In Sunday’s loss to Miami, he made a number of significant plays, including an interception, a sack, and another tackle that prevented a touchdown.
There isn’t a replacement for Belichick on the Patriots, and the former second-round pick has stated that he wants to keep him. He is a crucial component of the Patriots.
However, the squad should think about trading Dugger if someone makes them an incredible offer on Tuesday.
that is the chance to rearrange their squad.
Henry has been a big target for Mac Jones over the last three years and become a team leader, named a captain for the first time ahead of the season. But he’ll also be a free agent after the season, and tight end-needy teams like the Cowboys, the Buccaneers, and the Bengals may come calling.
And even though he’s still in his first year with the Patriots, Mike Gesicki‘s name is one that could pop up ahead of the deadline too.
Zeke definitely wasn’t prepared for a 2–6 record when he signed with the Patriots in the summer. Despite only gaining 3.9 yards per run on average, this eighth-year NFL player has proven that he still has it in him.
For a late selection or two, a contender in need of some running back depth would be intrigued in adding the inexpensive 28-year-old to the mix.
Trent Brown would undoubtedly be thrilled to join a team before the deadline if they were in need of a left tackle. Due to his history of injuries and some dubious play on Sunday in Miami, his value is likely a little lower than it should be, but he is still one of the greatest tackles in the game and wouldn’t likely cost a team much to acquire at the deadline.
