Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, had a memorable night on Thursday Night Football as he led his team to a 24–18 victory over the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Because of a bad shoulder, there had been doubts about the 27-year-old’s condition going into the

game. However, he allayed those worries by throwing for two touchdowns and running for another.

His valiant actions were just what Buffalo needed, since the team had just recovered from an unexpected loss to the New England Patriots four days prior. At this point in the season, the Bills are 5-3.

Even though Allen had to visit the medical tent after his shoulder ailment seemed to worsen again in the second quarter, he still had some crucial moments.

After the game, Allen addressed his shoulder to reporters, saying, “I mean, took a little fall on it, and just felt a little funky about it, but you know, just trying to keep it warm and keep it loose.”

“We’ll be alright, but I’ll be sore for a few days.”

At the end of the evening, the talented quarterback completed 324 yards of passing on 31 of 40 attempts. Allen presently leads the NFL with 22 total touchdowns (17 passing and 5 rushing).

He was the driving force behind all the positive things the Bills accomplished on Thursday, including the offensive line’s eventual breakthrough after a sluggish start to the campaign.

The Tampa Bay Bucs, who at one point erased a 10-point deficit in less than a minute during the second quarter, nearly prevailed in spite of Allen’s dominance.

After that, in the fourth quarter, Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield connected with receiver Mike Evans to cut the deficit to 24–18 with under three minutes left.

But Mayfield’s last-second effort at a Hail Mary throw was unsuccessful, and the Bucs dropped their third straight game.

The Bucs want to end their losing streak against the Houston Texans, while the Bills look to maintain their winning ways against the Cincinnati Bengals the next week.
