Rangers’ 5-0 victory over Dundee is tainted by delays, as the visitors’ tardy arrival causes kickoff to be delayed by 45 MINUTES. The game is also stopped after a chaotic pyrotechnic display sets off a fire alarm in the away end of Dens Park.
In the midst of a chaotic evening at Dens Park, Philippe Clement praised his players for scoring five goals and asked Rangers supporters to leave the fireworks at home.
The Ibrox team bus arrived at the ground at 7.25 p.m. due to severe traffic congestion caused by an accident, which resulted in the kick-off being postponed by 45 minutes to 8.30 p.m.
But before the game even started, some away fans in the Bob Shankly Stand set off a set of flares that appeared to set off a fire alarm. Referee Kevin Clancy eventually led the players and staff back up the tunnel after police took over the situation.
When play resumed following a 19-minute break, the Rangers dominated and led early thanks to Ryan Jack. Danilo, Sam Lammers, and Cyriel Dessers all scored goals in the second half, and captain James Tavernier’s penalty kick in the 90th minute completed an outstanding victory on the road.
Clement is grateful for the loud support from the visiting supporters, but he hopes there won’t be any more pyrotechnic disruptions in the future.

“I hope the club avoids sanctions,” the Ibrox manager stated. When you arrive during the warm-up, the entire stand is filled with people cheering for the players and putting forth a lot of energy.
“Those are really significant items.” We perceive a shift in the relationship between fans and players, which is due to factors on both ends.
