To put it mildly, Clemson football has had a challenging run of games.

The team led by Dabo Swinney is 4-4 and has dropped its last two games. If things go wrong, a losing season for the Tigers might very well be in the works. That would be Swinney’s first losing season since 2010.

However, quarterback Cade Klubnik asserts that the Tigers will not develop a losing habit if Swinney has his way with this team’s mentality.

Yes, he has been winning for a while now. Klubnik recently stated, “And for a long time, that’s kind of all I’ve done is win” (h/t On3). We also kind of talked about how we’re not used to losing. “We’re never going to get used to that; we’re never going to get used to it,” he remarked.

“I believe that those who enjoy winning will never adjust to losing because they detest it. Thus, each time a defeat occurs, they don’t. They don’t get used to it, yet it still affects them just as much as the first time. I would never allow that to numb me because I feel the same way about this one as I did about the

Of course, the same can be said of Swinney. Love him or hate him, his Clemson record speaks for itself. In 16 seasons as the Tigers’ head coach, he is 165-43. Over that time, there have been four appearances at the national

championship, with victories in 2016–17 and 2018–19.Not that Clemson is accustomed to losing, but it seems like the Tigers may not have much of a choice at this point. Next up comes No. 12 Notre Dame, which defeated Pitt 58-7 a week ago and recently triumphed over No. 10 USC.
