John Cena Discusses How Much He Enjoyed Working Bray Wyatt In WWE
John Cena remembers working with Bray Wyatt with great fondness.
Prior to WrestleMania 30, Cena and Wyatt initially crossed paths in 2014 when Cena’s championship match at the Royal Rumble was ruined by The Wyatt Family. Even though Wyatt would lose to Cena at Mania, the rivalry was far from ended. A youngster at the door stopped Cena from leaving the Steel Cage match at Extreme Rules as a result of the growing rivalry.
Speaking on WWE’s YouTube channel’s Break It Down program, John Cena talked about their rivalry’s last match—a Last Man Standing match at Payback 2014—during his appearance. Cena went into further detail about Wyatt’s inventive mind and how it was a pleasure to compete with the previous World Champion
It was a lot of fun performing with Bray. In that sense, we were of the same cloth. Both storytellers and wishing to engage in strange activities. Additionally, I believe that he and I have always embraced each other’s creativity and tried to do new things. The Firefly Funhouse matches those that are the ideas that originate from a single unique person, using the child at the cage door. He was always more concerned with the art and the narrative than he was with anything’s physicality.
