Star wide receiver Davante Adams is not going to leave the Las Vegas Raiders. According to NFL source Jordan Schultz, the franchise had even rejected his trade request weeks prior, demonstrating their continued strong attitude.

“#Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams and his camp discussed the potential of a change of scenery with the team earlier this month, according to sources who spoke with @BleacherReport. It is very evident from Las Vegas that they will not be moving him. After the game on Monday night, we’ll see if anything has changed. The trade deadline is today at 4 PM ET.

On the opposite end of the rumor spectrum, there are sources (via Vincent Bonsignore of Vegas Nation) who claim that Adams never requested a trade.

Further rumours regarding the Adams trade, from ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
Due to Las Vegas’s on-field difficulties and wideout Davante Adams’ obvious dissatisfaction with his team’s performance and his role in the offense, there is a growing chance that the Raiders will break ways with Adams.

Davante Adams is not happy with the Raiders’ role or the way the club is playing.
Only seven targets were caught by Adams for a meager 11 yards during the Raiders’ Week 8 loss to the Detroit Lions on Monday. Adams is not at all pleased about that, especially after such a humiliating defeat.

When Adams was acquired by the Raiders from the Green Bay Packers in a trade in 2022 and then signed a five-year, $140 million contract, the offense seemed full of promise. But the offensive success that many anticipated Las Vegas would have with Adams has not materialized. The Raiders are just 3-5 after eight weeks of the 2023 NFL season, with an offensive that ranks third worst in the league overall with an average of just 15.8 points per game.
