In front of the most recent round of Scottish Premiership matches, Celtic and Rangers have to get back up swiftly and get ready to play again on Wednesday night.

Following their goalless draw at Hibernian on Saturday, the Hoops will play host to St Mirren, while Rangers, buoyed by their thrilling 2-1 triumph over Hearts the previous weekend, will travel to Dundee.

At the beginning of each new week, there are still a ton of transfer-related news articles making the headlines. The most recent Rangers and Celtics rumors as of Tuesday, October 31 are as follows:
Barry Ferguson has admitted that, given the escalating transfer rumors over the weekend, he would love to see Hearts’ lucky player Lawrence Shankland wearing a Rangers uniform in January.

The Scotland international scored on Sunday against the Ibrox team, but late goals from James Tavernier and Danilo condemned the Jambos to a 2-1 loss in the dying minutes. Shankland, a prolific forward with 18 months remaining on his Tynecastle contract, had been linked to a move to Govan throughout the last two transfer windows. His goal against the Glasgow giants has added credence to those rumors.

The 28-year-old has shown his ability and potential at the Edinburgh club, and Ferguson has identified the key characteristics that would make him a promising acquisition, hinting that a move to Rangers may be the next logical step in his career.

If Celtic ever lose their top striker to injury, Kenny Miller acknowledges he’s still not sure that Oh Hyeon-gyu is “capable” of taking Kyogo Furuhashi’s place.

The former star of the Hoops and Rangers feels that Brendan Rodgers needs to find a new attacker to provide Japanese phenom Kyogo, who has been the team’s main goal threat for the past two and a half years, some worthy competition.

But Miller believes Celtic are severely lacking in choices if Oh were to suffer another injury, as was the case when he developed a shoulder issue earlier in the season that still aggravates him. Oh is still too raw to be regarded as a first-choice starter.

“Celtic needed to sign a backup striker in summer,” he said to Clyde 1 Superscoreboard. Oh is now being given… he had 25 minutes, 30 minutes with stoppage time on Saturday, and he’s just not a good replacement at this point in time with (Giorgos) Giakoumakis leaving.
