A week ago, the Ohio State football team defeated Penn State despite being without three of its finest players. TreVeyon Henderson, Denzel Burke, and Emeka Egbuka were all out, but the defense helped the Buckeyes defeat the Nittany Lions 20–12.
It was encouraging to know that the Buckeyes have players capable of winning in place of those injured teammates. However, it would undoubtedly be preferable if Ohio State could regain its full health. This is particularly true in an unfriendly setting like Camp Randall Stadium.
How well will the Ohio State football squad be able to recover? Henderson will return to the offensive this week. The Buckeyes will appreciate having their home run retaliated.
The major question mark is Egbuka. The Buckeyes have officially classified him as doubtful. Although he wore his helmet and dressed last week, he didn’t take a single snap. He goes out there today, in my opinion, even if he is taking less snaps. I anticipate him playing.
It’s fantastic for this team to be fully healthy. They are leading the Big Ten and cannot afford to lose to a Wisconsin squad that just had a fantastic comeback victory. Observing the game ought to be enjoyable!
One thought was on nearly every reporter’s mind as Ohio State Buckeyes running back TreVeyon Henderson entered a room full of them at Camp Randall Stadium. The Buckeyes were not focused on their upcoming 11-0 matchup against Michigan in the final week of the season, even though they had just won eight straight games, two of which had come against teams ranked in the top ten. No one in the room was, in fact.
It was inevitable that Henderson would be questioned about his performance soon after. After all, he did go for more than 200 all-purpose yards. But his response was different. as he refused to accept credit. Henderson said, “I thank God,” to the press. “He has supported me and given me the freedom to return here and give my squad my all. It is entirely His fault that I am here. I give Him all the credit.”
