There are just two five-star recruits left in the 2024 college football recruiting class who have not committed with less than two months to go before the Early Signing Period. As the cycle nears its conclusion, the two best players still available are offensive tackle Jordan Seaton and edge rusher Elijah Rushing. Several programs are vying for their services. Oregon is the front-runner for at least one of them, according to 247Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong, but it might be a fight to the finish in both recruitments.

“Oregon has a really strong chance to finish with a top-five class up there in Eugene if they can go out and land Jordan Seaton and Elijah Rushing with some of the other guys that they have on the board,” Wiltfong stated on The College Football Recruiting Show.

Wiltfong also rattled off the names of notable guests at this week’s key college football games, named a number of prospects who could flip their commitments, and provided insight into the most recent events in close recruiting contests.

There were two after that. Elijah Rushing will be discussed first. The Oregon Ducks were the team that quickly gained popularity after he reopened his recruitment and decommitted from Arizona. I still think highly of Oregon’s situation with Elijah Rushing as they attempt to contend for a top-five recruiting class. You kind of look at Florida, Georgia, and Ohio State as the teams that are guaranteed to finish in the top five, but when you start handicapping teams that have the potential to finish in the top five, Oregon is a team that I’m keeping an eye on because I believe they’re in a great position to sign Jordan Seaton, an IMG Academy five-star offensive tackle.

He returned to Eugene the previous weekend to witness the Ducks triumph. It was his second unofficial visit to the university. Jordan Seaton’s official visit to Oregon is still on the table, and after speaking with him and people who were there with him, I believe Oregon made a big step in this recruiting. Jordan Seaton continues to be recruited mostly by Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee. Ohio State is currently scheduled to receive a visit for the Michigan State match. At one time very early in his journey, I liked them.

Drelon Miller has three unscheduled visits scheduled for November. He is planning to travel to Colorado for the Thanksgiving weekend. The other two colleges that are still in the running, LSU and USC, were finalists when he initially chose Texas A&M, so this program is clearly gaining traction in his recruiting. And he may have reached his peak on LSU during a period in the spring. I believe he was on the verge of committing to USC at one point. He therefore has a great affection for those two shows. However, Colorado’s offensive performance this year, along with the success of their quarterback and receiver, is truly grabbing his family’s attention, and they

“LSU—I believe he attended the victory over Auburn in Death Valley prior to announcing his departure. He had a terrific time and is still very close with Coach Hankton, Coach Denbrock, and that coaching staff. Once more, they are fond of the offense in Baton Rouge. They are most likely the group who, following his process disclosure, I would recommend keeping an eye on. But I’m curious to see what Colorado does in this situation. When he returns for the UCLA game, perhaps his passion for USC will be fully restored. They adore Lincoln Riley for his offensive and receiving development history.

“The goal of Alabama was to have him on campus for the Tennessee game.” That did not occur, but he will make his formal visit the first weekend in November when they face LSU. This weekend, Texas A&M will welcome him back to school. sixth-best recruiting class in the country. This cycle, Texas A&M has done a good job of protecting some of their other commitments. Additionally, they are attempting to trade Florida receiver Izaiah Williams.
