When Florida football plays the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida, as part of the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, they aim to surprise everyone. Given Georgia football’s recent supremacy, not many are predicting the Gators to win this game; yet, Florida players have been making waves in the lead-up to the much awaited encounter.

According to David Soderquist of Hightop Sports, offensive lineman Austin Barber of Florida commented, “We play SEC ball like they do.” We have a few people that I believe can play. Well, 24-0 is fantastic, but they still need to come play us.

The fact that tight end Brock Bowers, Georgia’s greatest player, will miss the game on Saturday due to an ankle injury he acquired during Georgia’s victory over Vanderbilt, may help the Gators’ cause.

On October 28 at 3:30 PM ET, Georgia and Florida are scheduled to resume their rivalry at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville. CBS will carry the game.

Jackson Stone, an Atlanta native and senior at Mercer University, plans to earn a BA in communications. Jackson has always loved sports and is an ardent supporter of all Atlanta clubs. 2023 saw him join ClutchPoints.
