EVERYEN PARK Bobby Price spent some time on the Arizona Cardinals practice squad before being added back to the 53-man roster.
Price has made two appearances for the Cardinals so far this season. In 37 special teams snaps, he has recorded two tackles and one fumble recovery.
The Detroit Lions were where the 25-year-old played his first three seasons of professional ball. After joining the squad as an ultra-athletic, lanky undrafted rookie out of Norfolk State, Price played 22 games with two starts.
Eventually, Price moved around in the secondary, securing a crucial special teams position for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. During that time, he recorded 326 snaps for Dave Fipp’s team, and he has been attempting to replicate that in Arizona.
To handle the pressure on special teams, the Lions have brought back some familiar faces. Now that he’s back, Jalen Reeves-Maybin leads that team and sets the overall tone. Additionally, Anthony Pittman has kept up his quiet influence.
Malcom Rodriguez, a former linebacker who is now a fullback, has also emerged as one of Fipp’s main assets. In terms of reps in 2023, the workhorses are Rodriguez (123), Pittman (149), and Reeves-Maybin (153).
