When selecting his squad to play Swansea, Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca chooses Abdul Fatawu over Yunus Akgun on the right wing.

Since those who spent the international break at Seagrave are preferred over those who did not, the Ghanaian adolescent starts in a front three alongside Jamie Vardy and Stephy Mavididi. The stand-ins include Kelechi Iheanacho and Yunus.

Conor Coady continues to be kept off the defense by Jannik Vestergaard, who is backed up by Wout Faes, Ricardo Pereira, and James Justin at fullback. After returning from his duties with Nigeria, Wilfred Ndidi joins Harry Winks and Kieran Dewsbury-Hall in the midfield.

Despite limping off in Leicester City’s 3-1 victory against Swansea, Enzo Maresca hopes Yunus Akgun will be available for Tuesday’s Championship match with Sunderland.

In the 65th minute, the Turkish winger was brought on as a replacement; however, he left the game in extra time while appearing to be holding his thigh. However, after speaking with him following the game, City manager Maresca felt it was nothing serious.

The manager admitted as much in the press conference following the game, “I just asked him and he didn’t feel something important.” “It was only something, but nothing significant, so hopefully he won’t miss any days or games. We shall see.

Yunus will need to recover quickly, though, as the Black Cats will be at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night. City’s goal in the game is to win its eighth straight league game, which would break the club record.

City is left without two wingers if Yunus is not available. Kasey McAteer has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring pull a few weeks back at Blackburn, but he is making progress toward a return and is currently working out on the Seagrave grass, albeit apart from his teammates.

Stephy Mavididi, Abdul Fatawu, and Marc Albrighton would then be the only players left for City on the wings. Following their performances in Wales and the fact that Maresca has yet to give Albrighton a start in the Championship this season, Mavididi and Fatawu would be favorites to keep their spots in the team.
