Fa’amanu Brown, a new recruit for Hull FC, put on a memorable New Zealand debut.
Fa’amanu Brown, who recently joined Hull FC, made a memorable debut after New Zealand trounced Samoa. Brown, who has a one-year contract with the Black and Whites, came off the bench as the Kiwis defeated the World Cup champions of the previous year 50-0.
Brown contributed a try assist during his 22 minutes of action in the game by creating a wonderful crash ball that allowed Briton Nikorima to score from close range. He finished the game with nine tackles, missing just one, one interception, and three rushes from dummy half. He might play again the following week when the Kiwis compete in the Pacific Championships against Australia, the reigning world champions. Last week, the Kangaroos trounced Samoa 38–12.
Brown played hooker for New Zealand, but he will be expected to play halfback at the MKM Stadium in the upcoming season. Due to his international obligations, he will likely be the final player to report to the club before the 2024 season, which will cause him to miss a significant amount of time.
The majority of the athletes will return to practice on November 6, which is the beginning of their preseason. The new international players Herman Ese’ese, Jayden Okunbor, and Franklin Pele won’t arrive until December due to visa and contract requirements, but they will receive individualized training plans to ensure they are prepared to start playing right away when they do.
