Powell and Röhl met in the international arena before Röhl managed his debut game as Owls manager against Watford yesterday. Prior to March of this year, Powell was a member of Gareth Southgate’s England coaching staff. Powell previously worked for the German national team.

“He [Röhl] is a young coach who wants to improve the team and himself,” Powell said on the team’s YouTube account. I genuinely appreciate how he approaches his work. He has a tremendous chance to leave his mark, in my opinion. We must exercise patience with him. Although it is his first time in this position, he has previously worked here briefly with Southampton. Obviously, confidence is important, but on game day, you must offer everything you have for the spectators. I am aware of their intelligence. I must apologize now because I’m sure a few people remember me jumping on the crossbar many years ago.

“Now is the time for everyone at the football team to unite. I just hope they give it their best effort. This is a terrific group. I’m confident that they will receive assistance. not just the workers but also the followers. We must provide the supporters (the fans) with something. A lot of individuals find relief in seeing their team on a Saturday.

“I know that it has not been the greatest so far but we have enough to pick each other up and do better in what is a real demanding and challenging league.”
