Ben Cabango’s hamstring injury from the game against Norwich City has now prevented him from reporting to the national team this morning. Wales had already received notification from the Swans on Friday that the defender will not be participating, and a substitute has been called up.

Joe Low, a defender for Wycombe Wanderers, is the replacement. The twenty-one-year-old may represent Wales because of where he was born. In regards to Ben’s injury, the Swans have been keeping their cards close to their chest, although we have been informed that it is a moderately rated pull that might take three to four weeks to recover.

It may, however, go on much longer.

Cabango won’t play against Gibraltar or the vital Sunday (7:45 p.m. start time) euro qualifier versus Croatia. The return to Championship games against Leicester City in two weeks will then be decided by waiting and seeing. With the knowledge we now have, we must consider him suspect.

What we do know is that Ben is receiving exceptional care, which will hasten his recuperation. Fortunately, the Swans have a lot of high-tech equipment, and TENS treatment (electrical stimulation), also known as transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, is frequently used to help mend hamstring strains. Ben will also need to get lots of rest and use cold compresses to the wounded region in addition to mending, which will help with recuperation.
