It wouldn’t have been surprising to see the Philadelphia Eagles advise seven-time Pro Bowl receiver Julio Jones to rest up for this week’s game against Miami since he has only been playing for the team for a few days.
Relax. Learn the offence again. Be prepared.
But Philly won’t be going that route against the formidable Dolphins, as the organisation revealed on Saturday that it has promoted the 34-year-old from the practise squad. As a result, Jones will suit up and be eligible to play against Miami, but it’s still possible that he’ll just see little duty.
Jones is a high-potential acquisition for the Birds, but he is coming off of two seasons marred by injuries.

He stated earlier in the week, “I’m going to do it to the best of my ability wherever they need me to go and be.
“My mindset is definitely to dominate,” he continued. “Don’t misunderstand it. I’m here to completely dominate, whether it be in the passing or running games.
Last season, he appeared in 10 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and hauled in 24 receptions for 299 yards and two scores.
In 2015, when he caught 136 receptions for 1,871 yards and eight touchdowns for Atlanta, he had his greatest season.
The Falcons selected the Alabama-native receiver in the first round of 2011 at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds. He has been selected for the Pro Bowl seven times and has 903 receptions for 13,629 yards and 63 touchdowns in his career.
