The Baltimore Ravens, who are presently in first place in the AFC North with a 4-2 record, will be the opponents the Detroit Lions play on the road on Sunday. Macdonald is releasing Baltimore’s pass rush in his second season as the Ravens’ defensive coordinator, and his current players are echoing some of Hutchinson’s sentiments.

The Ravens’ pass rush was a major area of worry before the season began, but despite the loss of two of the team’s best edge rushers, Baltimore is tied with Buffalo for the most sacks in the NFL with 24 through the first six games.

The Ravens are receiving sacks from more sources than the Bills, which is how they vary from one other. Eleven Baltimore players have recorded at least one sack. The squad with eight players is the next closest.

At least in part, Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald is to blame if standout Lions defensive end Aiden Hutchinson causes problems for the Ravens on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.

Hutchinson was able to shine during his last year at the University of Michigan because to Macdonald’s mentoring, and the Lions selected him with the second overall choice last year. Hutchinson praised Macdonald for “giving me a lot of freedom in the defence and letting me loose.”
