Justin Morgan, who previously served as the head coach of Hull KR between 2005 and 2011, will join the North Queensland Cowboys as an assistant coach under Todd Payten prior to the 2024 season. Morgan received his coaching chops at Toulouse Olympique.
His most famous accomplishment involved getting the Robins back into Super League and reviving Craven Park, a location he still treasures. Morgan has held assistant coaching positions with a number of NRL teams since leaving the Robins, including the Canberra Raiders, Melbourne Storm, and most recently, the New Zealand Warriors. The coaching staff of the North Queensland Cowboys would greatly benefit from his knowledge and insights because he has previously worked with the national squad of New Zealand.

Following his contributions to the club, Morgan continues to enjoy popularity on the Craven Park terraces. Although it never happened, he has recently been mentioned in connection with a return to the Super League. He will now continue in the NRL.
