It’s disappointing to see Knight and Moseley placed on injured reserve. Moseley was signed during the offseason to help the Lions’ secondary, and after missing the first four games while recuperating from an injury, he made his debut against the Panthers in Week 5. Moseley got hurt on his second play of the season and is now on injured reserve.
The Detroit Lions are making strategic roster adjustments as they prepare to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, aiming to achieve a 5-1 record. The placement of key players on injured reserve, such as Emmanuel Moseley, is a setback for the Lions, particularly given his role in fortifying the secondary.

TAMPA, Fla. – The Detroit Lions have made a flurry of roster changes ahead of their Sunday game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, including formally placing cornerback Emmanuel Moseley and running back Zonovan Knight on injured reserve. Moseley tore another ACL last weekend, while Knight is dealing with a shoulder injury.
Detroit has recalled kick returner Khalil Dorsey from injured reserve, promoted offensive lineman Dan Skipper off the practise squad and elevated running back Devine Ozigbo for the week.
Skipper will give depth on the offensive line, where guard Jonah Jackson has been ruled out due to an ankle injury. Halapoulivaati Vaitai, another guard, has failed to play after suffering a knee injury in Week 2.
The Lions also confirmed that backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will fly to Tampa on his own. He missed practise on Friday because he was attending to a personal situation.
