With the addition of Chase Claypool, Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel has a combination of strength and size that was not previously on the squad. The former second-round selection has just been in South Florida for a week, and it’s unclear whether he’ll play against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

McDaniel lauded Claypool’s development in adjusting to life in Miami’s high-powered offence on the fly at a press conference on Friday.

“He’s done an outstanding job,” McDaniel remarked. “The system he’s entering is pretty particular. A lot of different phrases imply various things to different people, and he’s clearly hungry and ready to participate.”

Opponents average over 29 points per game but just 185 passing yards against the Panthers. Opposing rushing backs hammer the defence, yielding 140.8 yards per game on the ground. Given that Miami’s running offence averages a league-best 185.8 yards per game, McDaniel may use fewer receivers on Sunday.

“There’s a lot of things at play there in terms of the specific defence and what we actually need in this particular game,” McDaniel explained, “but it’s really just evaluating that and what he offers to the team in his current state relative to the other guys and what roles those would be.” So a lot of things has to be purposely hazy for competitive considerations.”

Green Bay is down two points at their own 39-yard line with 0 seconds remaining in the game against the Detroit Lions. This game is almost finished. Detroit is on the verge of completing a season sweep of their divisional foe for the first time in almost a decade. If ten years

The Dolphins are unbeaten in two games at Hard Rock Stadium, averaging 50 points per game. Miami will play three of its next five games at home before embarking on a two-game road trip against the New York Jets and Washington Commanders.

Claypool’s stats should improve under McDaniel’s scheme, whether against the Panthers or later in the season, following only four receptions for 51 yards in three games with the Chicago Bears.
