Malik Flowers, a former Montana Grizzlies All-American, has joined the Las Vegas Raiders’ practise squad, the NFL franchise announced Wednesday.

Flowers joined with the Canadian Football League’s Edmonton Elks in September. He had previously played for the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks in their last preseason game in August before being released before the season. He signed with the NFL’s New Orleans Saints in May after graduating from college, but was released following minicamp in June.

Flowers was most recognised at UM for his ability to return kicks. With seven career kickoff return touchdowns, he equaled the NCAA Division I record. As a kick returner, he was a three-time FCS All-America second-team selection.

Flowers caught 51 passes for 716 yards and four touchdowns in 52 games as a receiver. The Fontana, California native carried the ball 16 times for 251 yards and one touchdown.
