Next fall’s strength of schedule for the Michigan football team won’t be in issue, I suppose.

The Big Ten football conference’s 17 other teams and the Michigan football team’s conference opponents for the 2024–28 seasons were revealed by the conference on Thursday morning. The league is planning to emphasize several high-profile games involving the Wolverines in the league’s inaugural season with four additional Pac-12 clubs, despite no dates being disclosed.

In addition to playing away games against Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State, and Washington in 2024, Michigan is scheduled to host Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Oregon, and USC at home. The Wolverines will also host Arkansas State on September 21 and Fresno State on August 31. Seven teams that are currently rated in the SP+ top-50 will all meet Michigan, as opposed to only four this season.

The Wolverines’ 2025 schedule includes home games against Wisconsin, Ohio State, Purdue, and Washington as well as away games against Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, and USC. In non-conference play, Michigan will also host New Mexico and Central Michigan in addition to traveling to face Oklahoma.

In 2026, Michigan will face Minnesota, Ohio State, Oregon, and Rutgers on the road and host Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Penn State, and UCLA at home. In non-conference play, the Wolverines will also host Western Michigan, Oklahoma, and UTEP.

The Wolverines will host Illinois, Ohio State, Oregon, and Rutgers in 2027. They will also travel to Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Penn State, and UCLA. The Michigan Wolverines will visit Texas once more during that campaign.

Finally, Michigan will host Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, and USC in 2028. Additionally, Michigan will travel to Ohio State, Purdue, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Between 2024 and 2028, Michigan will both host and play every other Big Ten team on the road. The Wolverines will eventually go seven years without visiting Madison, making this the most remarkable road venue hiatus.

The Wolverines are currently undefeated and aiming for a third consecutive Big Ten title and College Football Playoff berth. On Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC, Michigan will travel to face Minnesota as part of that mission.
