The return of Roman Reigns to SmackDown has been announced.
Since being hit by a Jey Uso Superkick on August 11th, The Tribal Chief has not been visible in WWE. After that, Jey abruptly declined to see his brother Jimmy again and stopped watching SmackDown and the WWE altogether.
Reigns hasn’t appeared on television while Jey has on “Raw.” However, on October 13th, everything will change.
After what appeared to be an alliance between The Bloodline and Judgment Day, the October 6th episode of the program was pulled from the air.
Additionally, it has been revealed that Triple H will make a surprise appearance on the program.
With whom will Roman Reigns be partnering at the Crown Jewel?
At Crown Jewel, Roman Reigns will return to the ring, but he won’t take on John Cena. The two were said to meet at the Saudi Arabian spectacle, but Dave Meltzer shot down the rumors in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
It was confirmed to us that Reigns vs. Cena is not the match scheduled for the show, despite the promos where the Bloodline and Heyman refer to Cena as “the second greatest wrestler of all-time” with the idea Reigns is the greatest and a play off Cena’s WWE tag line of being the greatest.
Since defeating Jey Uso at SummerSlam, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion hasn’t competed in a match.
With little to no time remaining on his present contract, Jim Ross appears to be working for AEW.
There have been no updates since Jim Ross said, “We’ll know in a few weeks,” back in August regarding a potential extension. A recent update indicates that the contract’s expiration date is approaching or has already passed.
Ross’ contract is “either up or about to be up,” according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, with sources telling them that the current agreement expired in September and that both parties are still trying to negotiate a new one. Although the renowned analyst might quit for a different promotion, this seems doubtful given that JR has repeatedly expressed on his podcast how glad he is to be working for Tony Khan.
At the WrestleDream pay-per-view, where he was last spotted working the booth, the Hall of Famer was seated next to Jon Moxley, who handled additional match announcing for the event.
Jim Ross Selects His All-Elite Wrestling MVP
Ross has enjoyed the greatest view in the house for numerous notable contests in the promotion’s brief history because he has been a member since the beginning. Jim Ross recognized Bryan Danielson as the MVP of AEW prior to his match with Zack Sabre Jr. at WrestleDream. In his bout against the other technician, Danielson would support Ross’ argument, and Dave Meltzer would ultimately give the WrestleDream match a good rating.
