Tyrell Sloan, a fullback for the St. George Illawarra Dragons, may have sustained a serious injury during the Koori Knockout competition.
Sloan, a rising talent who last week allegedly suffered a possible syndesmosis injury during the off-season event, will reportedly have to wait anxiously for news in the following days, according to News Corp.
The Dragons fullback is expected to consult with physicians in the upcoming days to decide whether or not he needs surgery for the injury. At this point, the magazine has stated that recovery from surgery will take three months.

If he did need surgery, this would mean that he couldn’t start light exercise until the beginning of December this year, which would stop his preseason preparation.
It is hoped by Dragons supporters and team officials that he won’t need surgery and that the injury is modest so that it won’t interfere with his preseason leading up to the 2024 season.
Sloan has had disruption from injury before this year. Due to an injury earlier this year, he missed a month of football.

Burgess and Musgrove were teammates at South Sydney, and Musgrove, who has played in 78 NRL games for the St. George Illawarra Dragons, Wests Tigers, and South Sydney Rabbitohs, expressed excitement about working with the new coach.
According to a club statement, he remarked, “I’ve heard nothing but good things about the club and I’m really looking forward to getting over to the UK.”
“I’ll be working with Sam [Burgess] again, and that will be great because I believe he will bring out the best in me.
“I’ve been following the games and watching them, and I’ve been finding out more and more about the town and the Wire.
“The team has quality players all around it, and I think that hanging out with them will make me my best self next year.
“I’m prepared to take on the challenge. I’m only 27 and believe that my best football is yet to come. I want to move in, establish my power, and prosper for Warrington under Sam.
