In the summer transfer window, West Ham United brought in four top-tier new players, but Alphonse Areola, who was previously a member of the team, has had a significant impact on our team.

Alphonse Areola played for West Ham on loan during the 2021–2022 campaign until David Moyes, the manager of the Hammers, converted the loan into a permanent one for about £10.5 million the following year (Daily Mail).

During his first two years at the London Stadium, the 30-year-old had to be exceedingly patient to get consistent playing time and was Lukasz Fabianski’s understudy in the Premier League.

But Moyes gave him a league starting position at the beginning of this season, and he hasn’t looked back since.

His best effort for West Ham this season occurred in our 3-1 victory away at Brighton in August. He has been absolutely fantastic for West Ham this season.

The French World Cup champion has demonstrated why he is one of our team’s most crucial players.

Alphonse Areola wants West Ham to make a fresh acquisition.
This season, the former player for Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Fulham has shown that he is an even better shot-stopper than Fabianski.

Areola has already solidified himself as the team’s top goalie, earning praise from the Hammers’ official website as a “outstanding” goalkeeper.

In just seven Premier League games so far this season, he has already produced 32 saves, nine high claims, and three successful punches.

He also has the greatest goalie rating in the Premier League so far this year according to Who Scored.

Yes, the additions of Mohammed Kudus, Edson Alvarez, Konstantinos Mavropanos, and James Ward-Prowse have given us a pretty strong team.

But in my view, Alphonse Areola’s absorption into the West Ham first squad has been just as significant.

The 6’5″ stopper is displaying his superior talent for us. He now faces the challenge of showing real consistency in his passing and mastery of his territory.
