After Kevin Muscat’s update at Ibrox, Pascal Jensen is also interested in the Rangers position.
According to talkSport, Pascal Jensen is interested in taking over as Rangers manager with Kevin Muscat after Michael Beale was fired.

On Monday (2 October), the broadcaster stated on its website that the AZ Alkmaar manager is interested in taking over at Ibrox following the decision to relieve Beale of his duties following the Gers’ dismal start to the season.

Former defender Muscat, who appeared 24 times for the Light Blues between 2002 and 2003, has emerged as the early contender for the post and would be keen to speak with the Ibrox administration about the open position.

“Kevin Muscat would be interested in speaking to Rangers about becoming their new manager, talkSPORT understands,” Phil Spencer and Alex Crook stated in response to the present scenario. Pascal Jansen, manager of AZ Alkmaar, is also interested in the role, with his team being second in the Eredivisie.”

Rangers want a manager who will restore the Scottish Premiership championship to Ibrox sooner rather than later, and while this will be an extremely difficult assignment this season, they require a proven winner to return.

Jansen has demonstrated his ability to dazzle even when he is not managing the greatest club in his nation, and he has transformed Alkmaar into a competitive force in the Eredivisie, competing with the likes of PSV and Ajax. He also guided the Dutch to the Europa Conference League semi-finals.

The Gers appear to need to get this appointment right in order to keep the fans on their side, as Ibrox is now becoming a toxic place for both players and spectators, with supporters feeling disillusioned with continually being second best to their greatest rivals.

This team was built in Beale’s image during the summer transfer window, and whomever takes over must find a way to make it competitive again. Under Beale, it appeared to be a group of 11 individuals with nothing in common, and whomever takes over at Ibrox, whether Jansen or Muscat, must find a way to get them playing as a team.
