Callum Doyle, a defender for Leicester City, has been sidelined for up to four months with an ailment that the team is still trying to thoroughly diagnose.

The 19-year-old underwent testing after suffering an injury in their 1-0 victory over Bristol City.

Enzo Maresca, the manager of the Foxes, responded, “Not exactly to be honest,” when asked whether he understood what the injury was.

Maresca continued by stating that the loanee from Manchester City will be out for “12 to 16 weeks” and will remain at Leicester to heal.

Maresca had already predicted Doyle would miss “a long time” before the Foxes’ Carabao Cup loss to Liverpool during the previous week.

The Italian, a left-footed player, lamented Doyle’s absence once more, despite the fact that James Justin, a former England international, had temporarily filled the void.

“He is the lone left-footed player. It’s unfortunate since he’s the only one, Maresca said to BBC Radio Leicester.

Although we have numerous right-footed players, he is the only one in that position.

We will strive to find a solution because things are as they are. JJ [James Justin] performed admirably against Liverpool and Bristol City.
