West Brom’s Carlos Corberan confirms injuries to defender Kyle Bartley and midfielder Tom Rogic.

West Brom’s Carlos Corberan has announced that Kyle Bartley would be out for at least six weeks after suffering an unfortunate setback in his recovery from a quad injury sustained during the World Cup break.

Bartley made an immediate impact in the early stages of Corberan’s reign, just before the international break, scoring two goals, both of which were game-winners, and keeping three clean sheets in his first three appearances after returning from suspension following his red card in the Millwall defeat.

Bartley was injured while Corberan was putting his new side through their paces in Spain during the World Cup in November, and he is yet to return, but he did play an hour in the under 21s’ recent defeat to Aston Villa at The Hawthorns. Following that, Bartley – who had his contract extended for another year earlier this season – felt stiffness during training, and tests showed that he will need to miss further time.

“He has suffered a setback due to the injury. He underwent the scan, and the findings were not favourable,” Corberan revealed. “He’ll be out for another five to six weeks to recover from the injury.” We will now examine him with a professional to determine why this injury occurred again, and we will attempt to accept responsibility for each phase of the harm.

“It’s not a common injury in football, and the last time he felt it, he was training normally.” He might resume training when he felt something again, but after the scan revealed that the muscle is not ready to work, he must train or the condition would worsen. As a result, we must manage the issue with him.

“It’s a shame because he’s in a lot of pain.” He’s a player that wants to assist the club not just on the field, but also in the locker room and by having a positive influence. But, in the end, the athlete wants to play and contribute to the team on the pitch.

“I was speaking with him, and he has found himself in a very difficult situation, especially since he suffered his first step of injury in Spain during the international break.” He was at a level where he was much assisting the squad; he has been missing it, as has the team. He is a significant player at the club, a player who has had great success here.

“Of course, after a difficult moment, he reacted as we would expect from a bigger player.” I always feel bad when we lose one of our key players, even if he wasn’t playing in the starting lineup, since Pieters has been excellent. It’s

Corberan has also ruled midfielder Tom Rogic out of Wednesday’s game against Blackburn Rovers. Rogic, an Australian international, hasn’t made the team for either of the past two matches due to a lack of availability, and he’s suffered a little hamstring setback in his efforts to return to the 18.

“The only other player who is not going to be available in the next game is Rogic,” Corberan stated. “His reaction to my decision not to include him in the previous games was to work extremely hard – and that’s exactly what he was doing.” He has been pushing himself to do additional work every day. He is currently experiencing hamstring soreness. It was two days ago.

“He will spend the next three or four days recovering and returning to his normal level; it’s not a serious injury, but he must rest for the time being.” I’m not sure about Watford, but I’m sure he’ll be out for the next three or four days.

“[Kean] Bryan, like [Alex] Palmer, will still be on leave for five to six weeks.” “We’re not going to see [Matt] Phillips for the rest of the season.”
