Conor Robson, Joe Starbuck, and Jean Belehouan have all signed contracts after impressing in training at The Campus with their attitude and performances.

Robson, 20, has previously represented Stoke City at different junior levels and has featured for Rovers in pre-season.

Starbuck, 21, can play both right back and midfield and came through the Grimsby Town youth before playing two years with Sheffield United.

Belehouan, a left-sided defender, can play both centre-back and left-back and has previously played for Sheffield United’s junior team.

The 23-year-old Frenchman was a member of Manchester United’s academy as a kid and has made 23 senior appearances to far.

“After a period of training with us, the players have been given short-term contracts to try and impress further and also fight for a place with the team,” said interim Tranmere manager Nigel Adkins.

After a fantastic weekend that included a 3-1 win over West Ham, Liverpool FC’s focus now shifts to the EFL Cup, where they will face high-flying Championship side Leicester City in the third round. The Foxes easily defeated Burton and Tranmere (both 0-2) on their way to completing the first two rounds of the cup. Jürgen Klopp’s team enters the tournament in the third round and will be relieved to have a home tie.
