Journalist Loic Tanzi (h/t Le Equipe) estimates that the agreement to bring talented young Croatian center-back Luka Vuskovic to Tottenham Hotspur will cost around €10 million.
Tottenham’s decision to sign Vuskovic is not unexpected because it has been in the works for a long. The midfielder has been eager to move to North London and is close to making it happen, despite interest from PSG.
The amount of hype being created by Vuskovic, who is only 16 years old, is unusual. If the most recent information is accurate, Tottenham will be paying an unusual amount of money for a man of his age.
Vuskovic has recently been a prominent player for the Croatian team while playing for Hajduk Split in his own country. Ivan Perisic, a Hajduk alumnus, is already among the players for Tottenham, and Vuskovic would be a fascinating addition.
Being a center-back, Luka Vuskovic stands out for his defensive abilities, but what separates him from the other players is his talent with the ball and his maturity in making decisions at such a young age. The thought of possessing him will have Postecoglou licking his lips.
It is reasonable to assume that the Croatian center back won’t join the N17 until he is at least 18 years old. He is getting lots of regular game time in his hometown, which is exactly what he needs right now.

There is no chance he could start for this team ahead of Cristian Romero or Micky van de Ven if he were to come here. Yes, he can play for the U-21s or the U-18s, but earning first-team football with Hajduk is still preferable.
The Croatian will be prepared to relocate to North London in two to three seasons. Remember that he will still be an adolescent at that time. Tottenham does not have a lot of depth at center defense, but Vuskovic might be one in the future.
