Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper provided an update on Nuno Tavares. The Arsenal loanee was hurt in the Reds’ 2-0 loss to Manchester City yesterday.

The left-sided winger was making his debut for the Reds. Tavares, on the other hand, exited the pitch clutching his groyne and may now be forced to sit out.

Right now, no news must be considered good news. The Reds have other alternatives at left-back, but they’ll want to make sure Tavares is available.

Cooper was questioned about the 23-year-old on loan from Arsenal after his withdrawal at the Etihad Stadium. He currently has no clear information regarding the player.

“I don’t know how he is,” he told Nottinghamshire Live. I believe he had a groyne injury. We’ll have to check into him. That’s how it appeared to me, but I’m not sure.”

Cooper, the head coach of the Forest, will be hoping for positive news on Tavares.
It would be devastating to lose the child for an extended length of time. It wouldn’t be ideal, and perhaps there will be some positive news before the weekend.

Last season, Tavares shone for Marseille. He scored six goals from his left-sided wing-back position last season, and Forest will be hoping for similar success this season.

In the early parts of yesterday’s game, the brilliant player did turn off. He had no idea where Kyle Walker was behind him, so he set up Phil Foden for the opening.

Tavares, on the other hand, is a talented player, and Forest will be hoping that this injury doesn’t keep him out for too long.
