Despite losing Wilfried Zaha in the summer, Crystal Palace look to be doing well without him, sitting in ninth place in the Premier League, only six points behind the top four.
Despite Roy Hodgson’s recent sickness, the 2023/24 season has gone as smoothly as it could for the south Londoners so far.

More of their players are gaining worldwide prominence, which is due in part to Hodgson’s great guidance.

The Eagles’ current style has a liveliness to it, and their continuous attacking is quite attractive to the eye.

Following the retention of Michael Olise, who was the subject of intense attention from Chelsea in the summer, owner Steve Parish may be on the approach of another coup, according to The Athletic (subscription needed), who reported that the club is preparing to initiate fresh contract discussions with Eberechi Eze.

Both Eze and Olise are crucial to Hodgson’s side’s style of play, and while a deal with the former, who scored 10 goals last season, may be a long way off, getting his England debut while at Palace demonstrates that the player can realise all of his ambitions at Selhurst Park.

There’s absolutely no reason for Eze to contemplate moving elsewhere at this point in his career unless his primary goal is to make as much money as possible from the game.
