Prior to Sunday’s Premier League match against West Ham, Jurgen Klopp received a major injury boost because vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold is reportedly hoping to make his injury comeback.

According to the report, the full-back will be unprepared for Thursday’s Europa League match against LASK of Austria. He was not included in Klopp’s 23-man squad for the trip on Wednesday and will continue to work on his fitness at the club’s training facility.

Alexander-Arnold was observed sprinting into the fields, but he did not participate in full training because he had his own personal training regimen. The defender is reportedly ready to play again and hopes to be available for the match against West Ham on Sunday, according to The Athletic.

Alexander-Arnold’s hamstring injury, which he sustained against Aston Villa before the international break, prevented him from playing in the Reds’ 3-1 comeback victory at Wolves. In the 71st minute, he was pulled off and Jarell Quansah, a recent academy graduate, took his place.

The 24-year-old was left out of England’s team for both a friendly match against Scotland and a 2024 Euro qualifier against Ukraine. He has made four league appearances for the Merseysiders this season as they now sit third in the standings with 13 points.

Liverpool, who finished fifth last season, are only two points behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City and will try to stay in the hunt as they try to qualify for the Champions League once more.

Alexander-Not only will Arnold soon return from injury, but captain Virgil van Dijk will also be ready for selection after serving his ban, which is fantastic news for Klopp ahead of their fixture in match week six.

In Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Newcastle United, Van Dijk received a straight red card for tripping Alexander Isak. His suspension was prolonged for bad behavior after his dismissal, and he missed the victory at Wolves as a result.

The 31-year-old is anticipated to play against LASK on his comeback for Liverpool. He has so far this season played in three league games for Klopp’s team.

Meanwhile, Thiago Alcantara, who had a hip problem, is getting closer to rejoining his teammates for full training.
