Ivan Toney was one of the greatest strikers in the Premier League last season, and in a different world, he’d already be at a big club.

The Brentford forward is clearly good enough to play for one of England’s best clubs, but due to his prolonged suspension, he has been unable to find a new club this summer.

Toney’s ban will expire in January, and the striker is hoping to move in 2024, according to Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel.

Toney wants to transfer within the Premier League, according to Romano, and he’s been told that Arsenal is well aware of the terms of this potential transaction.

Arsenal was notified.

Arsenal notified Romano that he had revealed his knowledge of Toney and Arsenal.

“We know, according to my sources, that Brentford is aware that the player wishes to leave in 2024.” We’ll see whether it’s January or July. Ivan Toney has hired a new agency in order to gain new experience at a top team. Toney has been contacted by numerous clubs. “I can confirm that Italian clubs inquired about Toney, but the Premier League is the player’s priority, Chelsea is well informed about the player’s situation, and Arsenal is well informed about the terms of the potential deal,” Romano

That would be fantastic.

It doesn’t take a tactical genius to see how good Ivan Toney would be at Arsenal.

This is a striker that can do it all; he can play as a false nine as well as a target man. He’s a very excellent forward who would fit in perfectly with current Arsenal squad.

Of course, whether or not this trade goes through remains to be seen, but it appears that Toney will eventually end up at Arsenal.
