According to reports, Chelsea might make a move for Aston Villa attacker Ollie Watkins during the forthcoming transfer window.

According to GiveMeSport, the Englishman might be on the move if his £75k-a-week deal at Villa Park is not extended in the coming months.

Chelsea’s goal-scoring struggles were on full display yesterday as the Blues were held to a 0-0 draw against Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Nicolas Jackson started up front for the sixth straight league game, hoping to add to his solitary goal this season.

Unfortunately for the Senegal international, he had his most difficult 90-minute performance in a Chelsea shirt, unable to even threaten the goal.

In reality, he will be remembered most for blowing an attempt high and wide into the crowd, albeit from a difficult angle.

Watkins might be signed by Chelsea.
Instead, the biggest chances yesterday belonged to Raheem Sterling, Conor Gallagher, and Cole Palmer, all of whom were unable to beat Neto in goal.

The game left fans clamouring for a natural striker to join their ranks, and they don’t have to go much further than their home league to discover a plethora of alternatives.

Ivan Toney is one of them, and he has yet to appear this season owing to a ban he is presently serving.

However, another name that has surfaced in rumours is Watkins, who has failed to score for Villa this season.

The Blues are prepared to face the Conference League side at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, when they will get a close look at the attacker to discover what he is all about.
