Hugo Ekitike is wanted by Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, and West Ham United.
The Premier League trio of Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, and West Ham United are all interested in signing PSG striker Hugo Ekitike, according to HITC.
The 21-year-old came to Parc des Princes on loan in 2022-23 before becoming a permanent fixture a year later. Since then, he has made 33 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring four goals and assisting four others.
Ekitike primarily supported the famed PSG three of Neymar, Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappe. The departure of Pablo Sarabia provided him with additional opportunities, and to be honest, he has performed admirably when called upon.
Paris Saint-Germain had a summer of transition as both Neymar and Lionel Messi departed the club. Luis Enrique’s appointment as manager has done little to alter Ekitike’s fortunes, and he seems about to quit. In fact, after declining to join Eintracht Frankfurt, he was withdrawn from the club’s UEFA Champions League roster.
The additions of Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos both increase contention for starting positions, much to Ekitike’s dismay. He has not been in a PSG matchday squad since the summer transfer market closed, and he is expected to leave in January.
Newcastle United may need another striker, and Ekitike seems a good fit. Ekitike, a good dribbler who can run into space and connect up well, would be ideal for Eddie Howe’s team. It will also provide ample support for the Magpies when Alexander Isak is forced to sit out or is unavailable. Furthermore, the Magpies have long admired the young Frenchman and will be hoping that this time is different.
The same can be said for West Ham United, who continue to rely heavily on Michail Antonio. The veteran is not a long-term solution, and David Moyes will need to find a successor as quickly as possible. Ekitike fits the bill nicely and has the potential to be a long-term answer to the Hammers’ problems.
Following the summer departure of Wilfried Zaha, Crystal Palace also requires an offensive lynchpin. Ekitike sis is still young, but at 21, she has the potential to be a hero for the Eagles for many years to come. After following the player all summer, it will come as a surprise if Palace does not make a new push in January.
