In a tweet uploaded on social media, Rangers attacker Rabbi Matondo applauded Leeds United midfielder Ethan Ampadu’s performance.

Ampadu, a former Chelsea player, excelled once more for Leeds in their 3-0 Championship win over Millwall on Sunday [17 September].
Matondo reacted to a photograph posted on social media by Wales teammate Ampadu [17 September] celebrating one of Joel Piroe’s two goals at The Den.

“Some playaaa,” he added, accompanied with an emoji of his index and thumb rubbing together.

Carry on

Ampadu and Matondo had a terrific weekend, with the latter scoring for Rangers in their 2-0 win against St Johnstone.
Overall, Matondo has had a strong start to the season, even though the Gers have battled for consistency in terms of results.

Meanwhile, in another outstanding performance, the Welshman’s close buddy Ampadu helped break up play and launch assaults in Leeds’ win against Millwall.

Ampadu’s job in the side isn’t flashy, but his dedication is well-known among his teammates.

Matondo will now be looking to continue his progress when Rangers face Real Betis in the Europa League group stage on Thursday [21 September].

The 23-year-old’s goal now is to secure a starting berth in Michael Beale’s preferred starting lineup, which appeared a million miles away at the start of the season.

Matondo isn’t quite in “some playa” area yet, but he deserves credit for working hard to win over Gers supporters.
